Here is the first 250cc race at the 2015 Island Classic.
Team Tiger return from the Island
The truck and all the bikes have made it back from Phillip Island. Unfortunately there was a racing incident that left Jeff Duke with 5 broken ribs and a broken sternum. On the out lap of the second 250cc qualifying session the rider behind Jeff failed to navigate the traffic and T-boned Jeff into turn 12. All the Team Tiger and Sporties crew wish Jeff a speedy recovery. Full race report to come.
Island Classic 2015
The biggest historic road race event of the year in Australia is the AMCN International Island Classic. Team Tiger will be attending in 2015, once again as part of a larger Sporties crew. With the largest turn out of bike (over 500) in the history of the event.
This years crew will all be riding Honda CBR250RR’s and/or Honda VFR400’s. Tony Carroll, Gary Dickson, Simon Dickson, Michael ‘Mojo’ Webb will be contesting P6 250 on CBR250RR’s and P6 500 on VFR400’s . Jeff Duke and Kieran McGeown will be contesting both classes aboard their CBR250RR’s. Newcomer Wadi Nadzri will be contesting P6 500 on his VFR400.
If you’re at the Island drop in and say hi to the crew, they are all looking to have a top time, and if the weather behaves it should be a sensational 4 days at one of the best race tracks in the world.
Bikes are being finished and loaded into crates so they can be stacked like Tetris bricks into the truck. We will post more updates as the adventure unfolds.

However Tony Carroll took the lap record honours back before the end of the season. Both occasions in the final race of the weekend. All in all a solid season with some great racing. Simon was lucky to end up on the podium as going into round 5 Sam Phillips had 3rd place with a decent points lead, however he was unable to attend, so Simon only had to finish with decent points to overtake. Tony Carroll who ended the season in 2nd had a few crashes in the final 2 rounds, which closed the gap up between he and Simon to only 19 points.
